Narrow horizontal bands in deep rust and dark yellow ochre repeat down the length of this exceptional antique Bidjar Pelas. Darker brown or black pin stripes add a more decisive graphic quality to the design amidst the more subtle contrast of the two main colors. But even the ochre and rust areas vary in tone so much so that certain areas almost seem to glow within the larger design.
